Cyrus is the Managing Director for Financial Insights,
Asia/Pacific. He is responsible for growing the
Financial Insights AP teams, their research coverage as
well as new business in the region. Cyrus brings with
him more than 12 years of financial services experience.
Before joining IDC, he was a director in a research and
publication firm in Singapore where he was instrumental
in growing their regional events, proprietary and
subscription based research businesses. He also was a FX
and Bullion trader with Wells Fargo. He started his
career as a private banker for Midland Bank. Cyrus has a
very close working relationship with most of the banks
and financial institutions as well as vendors and
service providers in the AP region.
For the past 10+ years in the AP region, Cyrus has
been working with banks and vendors to help them better
understand their customer base and create effective
go-to-market strategies. His understanding of a range
business, market, regulatory and investment related
issues, enables him to work closely with financial
institutions, consultants, vendors and government
agencies on various multi-disciplinary initiatives.
Before joining Financial Insights, Cyrus was Director -
Global Clients Services with a Singapore based research
and publication firm. He was instrumental in growing
their proprietary as well as subscription based research
business along with their events and editorial
businesses.
He also served in senior management positions with
Marcus Evans - a conference company. He was with Wells
Fargo for nearly 4 years in their FX & Bullion
Trading division and before that he was a Private Banker
with Midland Bank. Cyrus has lived and worked in Hong
Kong, Japan, Malaysia and Australia for nearly 10 years
before he moved to Singapore in 2000.
Cyrus has a Masters Degree in Business Finance,
Economics and Business Law and is a Commerce Graduate
with Accounts, Political Sciences, and Business Planning
as specialist subjects. In addition, he has advanced his
studies through a 2-year comprehensive on-the-job
training program in leveraged foreign exchange and
bullion trading with further coursework at the
International Monetary Market on fund displacement,
investment strategies, insurance and trust planning. |

Brian's experience includes five years with Mercury's

Jaffe is Associate Director, Asia Pacific Banking
Service specializing in business and technology issues
of relevance to the regional banking sector.
Jaffe has expertise in a number of operational areas
across retail and corporate banking including channel
strategies, payments, trade services, financial systems
and outsourcing. He advises banks and vendors on
customer trends, competitive positioning, strategy and
operational issues. He meets with government bodies to
offer opinions on new technologies and trends such as
outsourcing and electronic payments. Clients include
IBM, Citigroup, JP Morgan, Oracle, Fidelity Information
Services, and Cisco. Jaffe also manages a variety of
consulting projects from due diligence exercises to
market studies.
Jaffe joined Financial Insights in May 2003 to further
expand coverage of the Asia/Pacific region. Previously
with IDC, he helped build its regional financial
services practice and authored an extensive research
catalog across a number of banking areas. Involved with
Asia since 1994, Jaffe has lived, worked or studied in
China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Jaffe is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and
is quoted in publications like The Business Times, South
China Morning Post, Asian Wall Street Journal, Asia
Banking and Finance, CIO Magazine, American Banker, and
The Asian Banker. He has also appeared on CNBC, BBC,
Reuters television and Channel News Asia.
Jaffe holds a bachelor of arts degree in
international affairs from the University of
Pennsylvania, a masters in Chinese studies from the
School of Oriental and African Studies at the University
of London, and a masters of international affairs from
the School of International & Public Affairs at
Columbia University. He spent two years studying at
National Taiwan Normal University and one year at
Beijing Qinghua University. He is conversant in
