Parijat Chakraborty heads three divisions of IDC India: IT End-User
Research, Telecom End-User Research and Communication
Research. During his more than three years association with IDC,
Parijat has contributed significantly in the growth and
continuous success of the company.
Parijat brings a wealth of experience gathered from
his associations with other leading research and
consultancy organisations of the world. In IDC, he has
played a significant role in a number of strategic
initiatives, including some world-leading innovative
projects.

| Asano Norihiro, General Manager,

Mr. Asano Norihiro, General Manager of Technical
Center, IT Products Division joined Panasonic in
1982. He was instrumental in developing the
hardware for MSX, an old Z80-based family of
home computers which appeared in autumn 1983 as
an attempt to establish a single standard in
home computing similar to VHS in video. They
were popular in Asian (Korea and Japan) and
South American (Brazil and Chile), European
(Netherlands, France and Spain) and former
Soviet Union countries. Mr. Asano also developed
the hardware required for Japanese language word
processor.
Mr. Asano has exhaustive expertise in mobile
PC technologies spanning more than a decade and
currently heads Panasonic’s business mobile and
field mobile engineering. As General Manager,
Technical Center, Mr. Asano is responsible for
developing key business and product strategies.
Mr. Asano holds a Masters Degree in
Communications Engineering from Osaka

Christopher Kwok, Manager,
Technical Services, Asia Pacific, Research In Motion |
As the Manager of Technical Services at Asia Pacific,
Christopher Kwok works closely with Research In Motion’s
partners in the region to implement BlackBerry
throughout corporations and government organisations.
Leveraging on his vast field experience and industry
knowledge, Kwok provides technical advice and support to
drive the success of numerous BlackBerry deployments.
Kwok was among the founding team that established
RIM’s operation in Hong Kong having joined RIM in 2002
and supported the Asian launch of BlackBerry that year.
Before joining RIM, Kwok worked at Microsoft Hong
Kong where he held various positions in technical,
alliance partnership, sales and marketing. He started
his career at SiS in pre-sales support.
Kwok holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in
Engineering Physics from The Hong Kong Polytechnic
University and a Master of Science in Telecommunications
from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology |
