Praveen Sengar

Praveen Sengar heads the Software and Services Research practice at IDC India. He is responsible for driving all market analysis and research assignments for the India domestic Software and Services market and identifying new research and consulting opportunities. Praveen personally supervises the India Packaged Software market tracker for IDC. He has also conceptualised and spearheads research into new, emerging technology markets such as Security Solutions, Software as a Service (SaaS) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Information Management for the India domestic market.

Praveen also heads the industry verticals research practice for India and has conceptualised and led important customised assignments to study emerging new IT markets in the Retail, Pharmaceuticals, Government and BPO/IT-enabled Services sectors.

Praveen is a regular speaker at IDC’s annual IT industry briefing session Directions and at major IDC and industry conferences.

Praveen has worked with organisations like Lowe Lintas in brand management and Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals in marketing.

Praveen graduated from the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi with a Master’s degree in International Business (specialising in International Marketing).

Henry Ng

Henry Ng is currently the head of Professional Services in Asia within Verizon Business Global Services organization. His team is responsible for providing professional services such as security assessments, audits, forensic analysis and investigation as well as e-governance and compliance consulting, project management, and integration services. Ng leads a team focusing on all Asia countries, including China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and India.

Ng has been in the IT industry for 17 years. Prior to joining Verizon Business, he worked at security solutions provider Cybertrust as a Professional Service Manager, which was acquired by Verizon Business in 2007. Prior to working at Cybertrust, Ng spent nine years at Hewlett-Packard in Hong Kong. There he worked as a security team leader and senior consultant in the HP Consulting and Integration security practice team.

During his career, Ng played various roles which include leading consulting workshops, managing projects, being security and solution architect for large enterprises, and helping customers to implement the security solutions such as Internet and firewall systems. Ng was also project manager and team lead for security assessments and conducted many consulting engagements for the Hong Kong Government agencies and major banking and financial customers. His work also included reviewing information security for customers, identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities, and making proposals to resolve business problems.

Ng is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a certified Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP).

Michael Joseph

Michael Joseph heads the Fortinet Technical team in India, he had been one of the team members who started the Fortinet Business in India and has been Fortinet for the past 5 years. Michael is a Computer Science Graduate and has more than 15 years of IT Experience and had been focussing in Security Field for the past 10 years. He has rich experience working with First National Private ISP in India. His experience in security includes acting as the project manager for designing and deploying complete network security for one of the leading Telco’s in India, recently designed and deployed virtualized security for one of the International airports in India.

Vinay Verma is Country Manager for NetIQ India. Vinay has over 13 years of IT Industry experience in Sales, Marketing, Operations, Consulting and Project Management. Vinay joined Attachmate 4 years ago and is responsible for operations in South Asia. Prior to joining Attachmate Vinay has worked across Europe, Asia and Japan with Siemens, HCL.

Ruchin Kumar, is presently working for Safenet India Pvt. Ltd. which is a 100% subsidiary of Safenet Inc, as the Sr. Solution Architect – India and SAARC for the Enterprise product line division.

Having over 9 years experience in the IT industry with the past 7 years in the IT security domain, Ruchin has worked very closely with DIT RBI in implementing security in RTGS and Cheque Truncation System across India. He has been involved in various security projects with organizations like RBI, IDRBT, TCS, Sify, NIC and many more.

Besides, he is enthusiastic to speak and share his technology know-how in various IT and security summits and seminars in India. He also involves in conducting training sessions and workshops on security topics including Identity management, Application Security and securing Communication links. He has extensive exposure in IT and previously worked with R & D of C-DAC in New Delhi.

Ruchin obtained his Bachelor degree of engineering in computer science and Advanced Computing from Centre of Development of Advance Computing.

Raju has over 20 years of security information management, software development, Financial and Manufacturing applications’ implementation, Data Warehouse Management and implementation, and IT experience and has been at ArcSight since its inception. Raju was in charge of ArcSight educational services, and initial database design, report and notification development at ArcSight. He currently works in Customer Success Organization helping customers implement advanced use cases using ArcSight products including Fraud detection and Identity management.

Gab Gennai

Gab has more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry. He has been involved in both a customer facing role moving to the vendor space more than 15 years ago focusing in Mainframe, Middleware and the Security space. He has covered roles from Systems Engineering, Development, and Consulting and over the past 3 years has specialized in the SIEM space.

Gab joined ArcSight in October 2008 where he is currently responsible for leading the Pre-Sales activity for the Australian and New Zealand markets in Security Information and Event Management.

Gab came from RSA where he was the lead SIEM specialist for Australia and New Zealand. He took a zero market to over achieving in its first year of operation.

Prior to RSA Gab led the Pre-Sales team in Attachmate team working primarily with emulation & hardware products and then moving into the area of Business Solutions Specialist in the strategic Mainframe and Mid-Range Middleware market. He was a valued resource throughout Asiapac.

Dr. Pramod Damle

Dr. Damle heads the Education Services at MIEL and is an official instructor for CISSP and SSCP credentials of (ISC)2. At MIEL, he has architected one year post-graduate program in information security management (PRISM) that is administered domestically and abroad. He has conducted numerous corporate training programs on information security for organizations like IBM, SBI, Alcatel and has contributed to the academics of IIMs, Administrative Staff College of India, etc. Besides, he has carried out consulting assignments like designing security policy, developing the business continuity plan, data centre security audit, etc.

With a Ph D in information security and certifications like CISSP, SSCP, CSSLP, CISA, CISM, he has been balancing his career between practice and preaching IT/IS for over two decades. He has authored articles, research papers, books and PC-based games on the topic of information security.
