Gordon Astles
President, Asia Pacific Operations
|
Gordon Astles is President of Cisco Systems' Asia Pacific Theatre. The region encompasses Cisco's four major sales areas in Asia Pacific including Australia/New Zealand, Asia, Korea, and China. Asia Pacific accounts for approximately 11% of Cisco's worldwide revenue.
Based in Hong Kong, Mr Astles oversees Cisco's business operations in the theatre. Mr. Astles was appointed to his current role in February 2001.
Prior to this, he was Cisco's Vice President of Americas International where his territory included Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America. He has also held senior sales roles for Cisco in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) as Vice President of Channels and Field Operations.
Mr. Astles joined Cisco in August 1992 as the General Manager of Cisco Canada.
Prior to joining Cisco, Mr. Astles was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Crowntek, a Canadian PC reseller. He also held positions with IBM in both mainframe sales and the office products division over a 12-year period

Bernard Trudel
|
Bernard Trudel is Principal Consultant, Security Group, APAC, Cisco Systems. He is a network security architect at Cisco, and has been involved in a number of technical roles for the last 8 years having spent over 20 years in the data and voice networking industry.
Bernard is presently located at Cisco's Brussels office and provides Cisco's regional customers with recommendations on network security designs and implementations. He was previously looking after the Asian and North American region for the same.
He has recently co-authored a benchmark whitepaper for network security called – SAFE, which is a blueprint for enterprise network security. His work in network security also includes large scale VPN network design and consulting with large enterprises about increasing their network security postures.
Prior to joining Cisco, Bernard worked for a network design consulting firm in Europe where his responsibilities included advising enterprises and service providers on their Wide Area Network designs. He was also involved in large scale national WAN deployments.
Bernard is an Electronic Engineer and has graduated with Honours from McGill University in Canada. He started his career as a hardware design engineer and has earned two patents for his innovative work.

Jasminder Gulati has over 10 years of experience in the IT industry and has held a wide range of positions.
He has been with Microsoft Corporation for over 6 years and has held various responsibilities. His current profile is head of Enterprise Marketing, where he involved in setting up & delivering Microsoft’s enterprise strategy, in addition to focussing on information security as a priority.
His has also been, previously, Technical Evangelist for Business Solutions Group at Microsoft, as a Consultant with Microsoft Consulting Services, and more recently as Program Manager for E-Commerce, where he lead the Internet initiatives for Microsoft India.
He has also worked with Tata Consultancy Services for 3 years previous to joining Microsoft.
Jasminder holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and has attended Kellogg School of Business Executive MBA Program.

Raymond Chan

Raymond Chan is the Business Development Manager within the Advanced Technologies Group for Cisco Systems Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, Raymond is responsible for evangelizing Cisco's Advanced Technology Solutions and specifically ‘Self-Defending Network' vision throughout the region. He also develops and executes the security go-to-market strategy for Cisco in Asia Pacific.
Raymond has over 12 years of experience in the IT industry and prior to joining Cisco Systems has held various technical, product marketing and business development positions at IBM, Sun Microsystems and Lernout & Hauspie. Raymond is frequently invited to speak in public events on security and networking.
Raymond holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Electrical & Computer Systems from Monash University, Victoria, Australia .
